Tuesday, we have Open Lab where you can bring anything and we will help you get started on your visible mend. Meet at the loft of Cherrydale Library from 2-4 PM.
On Wednesday, October 21, you are invited to a work party from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in the lower level of Cherrydale Library. We will be cutting denim to upcycle for our programs, making sashiko palm thimbles, and assembling mini mending kits for our programs including one upcoming for Mentors in Inova’s Survivors Offering Support program, which provides mentorship for people in treatment for breast or gynecological cancer.
If you’d like to help make sashiko palm thimbles but can’t make it to this work party, let me know and I can give you supplies and instructions to make them on your own.
Lastly, many thanks to the Mend-tors who volunteered to share their Microweave Darning skill at the Textile Museum this past Saturday for International Repair Day! 🙌🏼💕

Hope to see you soon!
