Invitation to Check Out Bojagi Exhibition Tomorrow!

1–2 minutes

Art on the Mend is invited to visit the Friends Artspace to see The Shape of a Gift (선물의모습), a solo exhibition by Youngmin Lee, a Korean-born, California-based artist whose practice expands from the tradition of bojagi: the Korean wrapping cloth used to hold precious objects, household items, and gifts.

The exhibition features patchwork bojagi called jogakbo made from scraps of fabric, representing resourcefulness and creativity. So it is very much aligned with our work.

Our slot is 1:30 tomorrow, Saturday, June 6. Friends Artspace is located at 2400 North Edgewood Street, Arlington, VA 22207. Parking is available on 24th StreetNorth.

Learn more about the exhibition here.

Let me know if you can make it!

Lastly, remember that our Cherrydale Library Visible Mending Circle is now 2-4 PM on *Tuesdays*. This week is Open Lab so bring any textile items to mend.

Hope to see you soon!
